The chalet is altogether over 100sqm and includes :

  • 1 fore-entrance for the ski equipment and an indoor parking place (under the tennis)

Where are we ?

The Chamonix township includes about ten villages and hamlets spread along the valley.

The ski resorts and the walking areas can be found from "Les Houches" until "Le Tour".

Our chalet is located at the foot of "The Tour Glacier", right at the end of the valley.

How to reach the Valley ?

  • From Geneva with the A41 "white" motorway direct access to Chamonix within approx 45 minutes, then a further 10 km and you've arrived !
  • From Paris, A6 motorway heading to Mâcon, then the A40/A41 motorway toward Chamonix Mont-Blanc.
  • From Milano through the Mont-Blanc tunnel, it will be approx 2h drive.
  • From Geneva Cointrin Airport or Geneva Bus station : several shuttles such as Chamexpress, Alpibus, SAT as from 20€. See www.chamonix.net
TGV or night train until St Gervais - "le Fayet" Then taxi for which count approx 70€ off-peak rate. From Paris, with TGV, you should count on approx 5h30 trip. Depending on the time, a train connection will take you to Chamonix and Montroc. This station at 1500m from the chalet.
TGV to Geneva (3h30 from Paris) then car rental and driving to the Valley approx 1h15, or Bus connection.
Geneva Cointrin International Airport where a bus connection or car rentals are available including www.easyrentacar.com.
With a rented car, count approx 1h15.

Activities

Activities in the Valley ...

Alpine skiing

"Le Tour": family ski resort. Approx 30 km of easy and medium runs, at walking distance from the chalet, approx 500m. On the way back home, you ski to the door step.

"Les Grands-Montets": Resort located at Argentière, approx 4 km from "le Tour". Confirmed skiers will take a lot of pleasure in that legendary resort.
Magnificient landscape and steep runs have made the unequalled reputation of that domain. Bus shuttles link both resorts throughout the day.

"La Flégère" and "Le Brévent" : Both resorts develop their trails above Chamonix itself at approx 8 km from "le Tour". They are available to all level skiers and offer blue, red and black runs. Bus shuttles link "le Tour" to both resorts throughout the day.

"La Vallée Blanche": from Chamonix (1040m), two successive cable-cars will enable your seing the most fantastic panorama you can imagine, at 3800m altitude. You are then given to ski down the mythical 18 km high mountain trail down the "white valley", advisedly accompagnied with a guide. This exceptional program is at only 15min from the chalet.

Cross-country Skiing

The Valley offers 75 km of cross-country skiing trails spread over 4 sectors, between Chamonix, "Les Praz" and "Argentière".

Rambling

During the Winter :
  • The rackets are an excellent mean to enjoy the mountain in a calm and silent place. The routes are varied and with free access.
  • The valley is also the departure point of the prestigious « Chamonix Zermatt high route »
During the Summer :
  • The valley offers a vast number of hikes, more or less long, more or less difficult. Many refuges are accessible in a day.
  • The nature reserve of "Les Aiguilles Rouges" offers magnificient surroundings for one day walks.

Another view of the Tourism

The Gianadda foundation in Martigny (in Switzerland) :
Internationally known, the foundation offers 3 to 4 prestigious paintings exhibitions per year. Stepping on to the train in "Montroc" station, you reach "Martigny" after one hour ride in a magnificient scenery, or a half hour drive via the "Col des Montets" pass, a beautiful road. In Chamonix, you are offered :
The Alpine museum, retracing the life of the valley just as the Tairraz center, proposing temporary exhibitions. You will also find the small train of the Montenvers, reaching the famous "Mer de Glace".

Golf

The magnificient golf 18 holes of Chamonix, par 72 of Robert Trent Jones Sr, is 10min away by car.
It is dominated by the Mont-Blanc massifs and at the foot of the Drus peaks.
It's a flat, mountainous, golf that leaves an unforgettable memory (even in case of a bad score)
Nearby are also the golf courses of Megève, Evian, as well as, Swiss (Crans sur Sierre) and Italian (Courmayeur) golf courses...
